This cartoon was done in response to a news item, reporting on a fight that broke out between monks in the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem. It was all very mad, and could have easily been a clip from Father Ted. I was a bit short on time when I did this, and would have wanted to refine the composition a lot more than I did. However, I think the cartoon successfully gives an idea of the utter madness of the situation.

Seek First Cartoons Autumn 2009
Cartoon Dinosaur
For the sake of fairness I did this dinosaur for my friend's son. You can purchase various apparel with this illustration on at Cartoon Dinotees.
When I was a kid, like the children today I was fascinated with dinosaurs. Of course we did not have the merchandise and films they got now! I still got my books from then, and also my PG Tips card collection in the book. It is amazing how far things have come special effects wise, since I was a kid. Films like 'One Million Years BC', with the lovely Raquel Welch, 'The land that time forgot', and 'When dinosaurs ruled the earth', were the films I saw then. For the time they looked great; with the stop frame animation, and even the lizards with frills stuck on with glue. I can not imagine what I would have been like if we had 'Jurassic Park' back then?

Cartoon Pony
A friend's daughter asked me if I could draw a pony for her. This is what I came up with. You can purchase various apparel with this illustration on Cartoon Ponies and Cartoon Ponies 2.

Boring Sermon
This is just one of 14 cartoons I have done for the Summer/Autumn edition of Seek First. I thought I would mess around with this one, and have ago at colouring it with Photoshop instead of Illustrator, just for a bit of practice. I will publish the two page worth of cartoons on this blog, once the magazine has been released. Just press on the image to see it more clearly!

Hammerhead Shark
I thought I would do another shark design to accompany the previous design. This time it is a Hammerhead Shark. These are crazy looking animals, and I had fun stylizing one into a cartoon. I have also put this design onto T-Shirts on www.cafepress.com/cartoonsharks2

Single-Panel Gags
At the moment I am illustrating a series of single panel gags to send out for publication. I finished 4 so far (2 to go). I will not post them on the blog just yet, as I need to keep first publishing rights intact for the magazine I am producing them for.

Shark Design
This shark design began as a thumb nail drawing on a back of an envelope, and now it is available on t-shirts, mugs , buttons, and stickers on http://www.cafepress.com/cartoonsharks
I remember when the film 'Jaws' came out. My love for dinosaurs in general became eclipsed by a fascination for this amazing creature, and immediately I wanted to go looking for sharks. Not very practical when you are 11 years old and living in Bristol in the UK!

Dog Fest Designs
I love dogs, because they are natural comedians! We always had dogs around in our family home, and they never ceased to amuse me. They can show a full gamut of emotions, which make them perfect for cartooning. http://www.cafepress.com/dogfestdesign
Mad Bunny Design
I wanted to do a cafepress shop based on rabbits, but I also wanted them to be psychologically challenged (and why not?)! http://www.cafepress.com/madbunnydesign
